With Christmas coming up, we’re thinking of doing a free giveaway to say thanks for being part of the forum. We’ve got a bit of money from the forum, and now we want to give back.

What kind of prizes or ideas do you have in mind? Gift cards, ad-free memberships, something else?

Any website that garners enough traffic is bound to create some type of revenue, although it has me slightly concerned that the moderators of this forum potentially aren't paying themselves out an appropriate amount from its earnings and instead giving directly back to the the site’s active members. It’s still better than what AF does though, all of the earnings from that website don’t even go to its moderators. It all gets siphoned back to Nzg and then from there goes back to Nzg’s owner who regularly posts on Facebook photos of his expensive shopping sprees, Bali trips, luxury cars and mansion…

The users here are the backbone of our community , so giving back to them is the least we can do. We make just enough to keep the site running and support my punting habits, but we're definitely not rolling in money like that. No Bali trips or fancy cars for me.....yet! If we do ever start making more, you can bet the giveaways will only get more frequent. Our main goal is to grow this active community, money is very important but it is not first priority ever.
Also don't get your hopes too high guys, its not life changing amount of money for the giveaway, it's just a small gesture of how we value our members.
 
A gift voucher for a reliable agency would make me happy - even if it was just enough for one punt or a discount off a punt.
 
And don't forget guys that not all of us are in Auckland. Mind you, if it was an Old Amy Gift Card With Upgrade it would be worth the extortion to buy a ticket from Air NZ specifically for that experience :cool::ROFLMAO:
