It depends a lot on what type of woman you are after ...e.g..., young, mature, kiwi, Asian, etc..how much money you are expecting to pay, etc.
With the small amount of information given, I can recommend that you to start visiting a "club" , not an independent girl. You have more chances that the girl will match what you are after, also, from the safety side will be better.

Great overview mate. But @Steve I won't be recommending Secret Liaisons or Secret Companions as the agency for your first punt as the girls there are more on the younger side and some are relatively inexperienced like Mystic touched on (there are some really good ones though), you don't want a "starfish" for your first one.
Dollhouse and La Fleur will be better starters for you especially if you let them know what type of girls you like, your experience etc. they will more than happy to help you.
Also you may want to start with Sensual Massage first to dip your toes if you haven't try that already. Ask @Sahara about it.
