As a punter, I'm curious about why WGs use agents and what the general career progression it takes to become fully independent.

I'm pretty dumb and also I tend to like the Asian WGs that often don't really speak English just because they're in my price range.

I know prostitution is decriminalized in NZ, but I don't know much else. I guess the basic question is what do Agents provide? Always wondered why they take a cut, wouldn't it be cheaper to just work out of their own flat? I mean one session a day is more than enough to cover rent for a CBD apartment.

What sorts of protections do these agents provide them apart from security (I dunno I've never been in that kind of dangerous situation, I'm very polite and respectful kinda guy.) I don't really like to ask them about it since I'm afraid it will come off as sketchy asking about their financial situation and stuff being that I can appear quite physically threatening due to my size.

I just hope it's not a situation where they're being exploited by some Triad in China because they're here on a holiday visa or something idk I'm really dumb.

I think a lot of the Chinese agents will actually recruit the Adian working girls from China. A lot of the girls are probably already working in the industry over there. I guess some are just doing a short stint to make some cash, and I guess noone back in China will really know. Most of the younger ones seem to only work for a few months and then flew back to China or elsewhere like Aussie, so its almost like a working holiday.

I guess in terms of an agent, a lot of them have very basic English or don't speak it at all. So they can have an agent to arrange customers and bookings. Also the agents probably run the brothels or houses were they work, so provide a place for them. Plus some may be working here illegally so they probably couldnt arrange a bank account and rent a property etc anyway, plus they dont really know the culture or the system here. And like I said they may only be here for a few months so its just better for them to have an agent. I guess it just depends on how much commission the agent gets.

I guess its similar with most kiwi/euro working girls who work at brothels and massage parlours. Same deal really. The house takes a commission but provides security, premises, clients etc. Its just easier.
