I know your statement is tongue in cheek. I imagine minimal effort is being expended on anything over and above basic functions right now while in limbo transferring ownership.

Someone else twigged me to a workaround. Click on the profile and select Ignore and then click on the 'What's New" in the toolbar and that poster disappears.

But they keep creating new profiles

It is annoying and I'm sure either will get better once there are more moderators. Ignoring the "new" profiles takes 10 seconds and it corrects the order of active threads.
