I’m interested in everyone’s thoughts. What is the correct contact etiquette?

I received a text last night from a SW who is planning to visit my local region. Basically a promo text about her tour and services. It was an unsolicited text and not overly discreet. Based on the content It also appeared to be a text that was sent to many ‘prospects’ I don’t recall ever seeing this lady or making contact with her so I’m a bit concerned about the approach

As I said I’m interested in people’s thoughts.

That's a big no no, you should never self-promote via phone like that unexpectedly unless you've been asked to.

Perhaps she doesn't realize and a polite reply telling her it's indiscreet and a privacy concern could help.

Yeah it’s not helpful. I have had a couple sent via txt from someone that knew my preference. My preference is via email and other apps I do like getting them that way.

Few months ago got one just as I was setting up to share screen at meeting. Luckily no one was paying attention if I had started meeting would been ok as msgs don’t come up.
