What does "hun" mean? At first, I only heard it around the ladies of the night, so I wondered if it was a tongue-in-cheek way of saying "john", or "trick". But lately, I wonder if it means "I've decided you're safe enough", or something similar. What do you take it to mean / what do you mean by it (if you use it)?

It's just short for honey isn't it? It something an old boomer house wife would call her husband. It's a little old fashioned and to be honest I can't stand it. It reminds me of Ed Bundy and the Married with Children show. There's nothing quite like the irritation of some jaded old sex worker calling you "hun" lol.

I'm always getting "hun" when texting agencies to make bookings. "Have a great day, Hun." Stuff like that. Just short for "Honey".

The only other meaning I know is the nickname for the Germans in WW2.

Google it. I'm sure you'll find all possible meanings.
