I’ve been punting now for 20 years or so and have mostly always played it safe, but now seeing some of the reviews on raw dogging and doing the accidental post-op tranny I start wondering.
How to protect yourself better from getting something your wife will be very upset with you about?
Is any of you using any medication or health regimes to prevent getting stung? I do see Prep being mentioned at times and wonder about it.

Interesting question.
Admittedly it has been 30 or so years since high school health class, so the science may have changed.
But I'm not sure there is such a thing as a medication that acts as a preventative for STI, not sure that any particular health regime would work either.
Happy to be prooved wrong, but I suspect that the old standbys are still basically the state of the art:
Abstention (which let's face it, you wouldn't be here if that was an option that you are willing to entertain).
Barrier protection/Jimmy hats (much as I like raw dogging, I wouldn't raw dog a random chick or working girl as ya don't know what filthy animal as sprayed their disease riddled batter in there before you, and neither does she, hence why most won't raw dog).
Or sticking with a partner that you know the sexual history and current condidtion of (not a 100% solution, as people are inherently dishonest, so just because you think someone is telling you everything, they might not be).

Take what I say with a grain of salt - do your own research and discuss with own doctor as required.

PrEP is funded in NZ for certain groups who are at increased risk of HIV, high risk groups engaging in high risk activities eg. condomless MSM etc. Yes you can self-fund this, but it will require you to pay for the costs of a doctors appointment (to get a prescription) and also the actual cost of the medicine itself. You will also need to get renewals of said prescription. Note that PrEP will not protect you from several other possible STIs, and almost every medicine has potential adverse effects - most of which are mild, but some of which are serious.

Certain high risk populations (eg. people with confirmed syphilis infections/multiple STIs a year) have the option of doxycycline-PEP by the ASHS to decrease risk of chlamydia/syphilis (but not other STIs). This is not something that is easily accessible, and handing doxycycline out like candy could increase antimicrobial resistance/create STIs resistant to conventional antibiotics. And then some of the Vixens customers might be in big trouble.

If you are thinking about protecting your wife from a health point of view as you mention - and this is assuming you have to/will continue to punt, then wearing a condom for all encounters and not going down on working girls is a good place to start. This is the only "reliable" way to protect yourself from HIV/chlamydia/gonorrhoea/syphilis/hepatitis B and C. As for HSV or HPV, nothing can really protect any of us... it is what it is.
Obviously you already know about condoms and the real point of the post was to get a gauge on whether medical prophylaxis is a viable option. The short answer is no, taking pills will not fully protect you or your partner if you engage in risky encounters.
In the case you make less than rational decisions (we all have from time to time), keep it to BBBJs and get tested regularly (somewhat of a risk mitigating approach) - note that urine tests may not test positive until 2 weeks AFTER exposure due to incubation period, and blood tests need to be repeated at the 3 month mark (time for seroconversion etc) if you want to be sure.

Most of you will be fine, but not all of you. I saw a lady through work not that long ago who had developed pelvic inflammatory disease secondary to chlamydia infection - turned out her husband had been punting and had contracted chlamydia but was asymptomatic.

You know, I did not actually expect someone to come back with an answer as comprehensive as yours. Thanks a lot for educating this old fool.
I’m guessing some of the WGs must be on a mix of these.
I’m impressed about the availability of these medicine, though there’s still no magic like the rubber magic.

Condoms aren't 100% effective anyway and probably the safest way is to not have sex with escorts. Or stick to non pentrative activities such as sensual massage. I have never had a condom break or anything but one time in the mid 2000s I got molluscum contagiosum (kind of like genital warts) around the base of my penis where the condom didn't cover. It was from a girl at Mustangs gentlemans club in Albany if anyone remembers that. I was single at the time but still dating random girls and was really worried about giving it to one I might hook up with. It was a real pain in the arse to get rid of cause they kept coming back. Think it took me like 1-2 years to finally be free of them. Hell that's probably worst than STIs like chlamydia and syphilis etc which can be cured with a pill!

I've only ever raw dogged one working girl maybe 10 years ago or some shit. It was some amatuer one I found on Backpages, I could tell she was pretty fresh. I instantly regretted it after as it caused me heaps of stress wondering if I had aids or some shit. The mental anguish of it all makes it not worth it alone. So I wouldn't do that again lol.

That said I do natural bj quite a lot and to be honest have never had a problem with it. The only thing I'd be worried about with that is herpes (cold sores), so I guess you gotta pay attention to the working girl. But hell you could catch that just from kissing her. The risks with unprotected bjs are a lot lower than vaginal, probably why it isn't illegal in Aussie. And its very common for working girls over there to do it.

I'm not an expert on the subject but aids medicine has come a long way. These days people with HIV live a lot longer and better than before. But more importantly there is some new medication these days that reduces HIV to non-detectable amounts and therefore makes it non-transferable through natural sex. (I'm not gay or LGBT) but there was a big hurray in the gay community with advocates suggesting people shouldn't have to reveal their HIV status if it is non-detectable due to the stigma. But still fuck obviously its much better to not have HIV/Aids.

I've said this before and other threads but I think if they magically removed all STIs from the world tomorrow, and we also made unprotected sex legal for sex workers. Still a lot of them would probably want to use condoms anyway as its a hygiene and intimacy thing. For example, they would prefer to save natural sex for their partners in their private life.

The whole post-op tranny thing is a bit of a worry. Some of the punters on here seem to have fucked a man with fake tits and an inverted penis. Does that make them gay? Fuck knows. 🤣

It’s a miracle perhaps I haven’t picked up anything yet. I did play the Russian STD roulette in the early days where I was doing my regular raw.
Afterwards I used to wash the private parts with mouthwash. That probably wasn’t a good idea at all :)

But then again most WGs will be clean and do get tested regularly.
people gotta be careful with the ones that are offering raw a little bit too easily.

I’m getting more careful with age I suppose.

Good post . I can't believe men are still taking risks , especially with porn stars who come here . People forget some of their clients are Bi and fuck men up the arse and then come inside any girl who allows it in NZ . A lot of men also travel to Thailand and we all know what goes on there

Lol nope . Students get tested every 3 months and prior to coming here get blood tests etc . Was told by one student I was banging a couple of years ago if they pick up an std here are in trouble and have to prove where it came from . Any girls on work or holiday visas can have anything including HIV when they come here as tests not required

How many escorts who are actually students have you met? I've met a few working girls that claim to be students when they are not as they think it makes them sound like they are just a regular girl doing it for a short time. And therefore more disireable to clients. Even though some of them are doing it long term for a career... at least until their looks fade.

Sigh. Just when I think about visiting a place some report comes through of some punter doing it raw. Stops me from going ie Vixens. Bit more cautious as not on WeChat etc so tend to stay away from many places.

You’d be surprised, a lot of the Chinese workers I’ve known previously who worked here longer then 2-3 weeks would go to Nzpc to get tested for any STI’s because they were all very health conscious. It is free for any Sw’er to go to Nzpc on Thursdays and see the family planning nurse for a checkup, they do not discriminate just because it’s a Chinese worker. Plus the Nzpc in Auckland has a volunteer there who is Chinese so that helps with any communication issues.

No I knew a few girls before who would work in the evenings and then go to the gym every morning. Even the ones that don’t go gym, often go out a lot for walks or runs all around the city so your point about exercising is a bit off.
As for the question about unprotected sex, idk i put it down to most likely poor sex education. As well as need for money for various seemingly urgent reasons.
