SL Hamilton Feedback
I'm happy to hear feedback from others or the owner. I can only share my side of the story, and my intention is simply to make others aware that this kind of situation can happen.
I’ve been visiting SL Auckland almost weekly. While I can’t say every visit was perfect, I’ve never had any issues or disappointments with the booking process. I was interested in seeing Faye but never had the chance in Auckland. After weeks of waiting, I finally decided to drive to Hamilton to try, based on my generally good experience with the Auckland team.
Unfortunately, the Hamilton trip didn’t go as planned.
I booked with Faye 2–3 days in advance and confirmed again around 10am on the day, 2 hours before the appointment, factoring in the 90-minute drive. I arrived 10 minutes early and tried to make contact, but there was no response. I finally got a message just before the booking time saying she wasn’t feeling well and asking if I wanted to try someone else.
To be clear, I don’t think SL was trying any sort of bait-and-switch tactic. In fact, I believe they’re above average compared to others in the industry.
Still, what can be learned from this? Whose fault was it? Probably no one’s. Maybe mine, for taking the gamble. I just want to make others aware, don’t make a long trip like I did unless you’re prepared for things to not go as expected. Booking first and driving 90 minutes might not be the best idea.
