growing a forum from scratch is brutal. I tried setting up my own (in a totally different niche) and after a year, I only had like 30 members, it was exhausting, and I ended up quitting. Behind the scenes, the amount of work, patience, and energy the owners have to put in is insane, it’s all invisible to most people. People just know how to complain and bitch about things. I hate spam links as much as the next guy but using this as an excuse to rage at the admins? Is that fair ? Free forum is for the members , the forum needs funds to run. Who pays for that ?
