I have tried speed dating in the past with some success. Often there would only be one or two women I was actually interested in there. And last time I checked there was only one company doing it at you seemed to get the same cast of people, including some which had been multiple times and couldn't even get a match lol. But to be honest its not much different from internet dating. And the worst thing is sometimes you will recognize the same people from the dating apps.

The last and worst time I did the speed dating which would be a few years back now. Some girl who I had meet off the apps and previously dated (and slept with) was there with a couple of her besties. I kinda ghosted her after sleeping with her lol so needless to say it was awkward as fuck. I think the worst part was having do speed date with her each of her two friends and make awkward convo with them about how I knew their friend and knowing that there is no chance I will get anywhere with them because of it.

But give the speed dating a go. Occasionally you get new people that go along to it so you never know your luck.

Another option is going on holiday to somewhere like the Philippines or Thailand. It is very easy to get quality matches on dating apps because of the huge population base there and the girls love shagging foreigners. You can shag yourself silly for a few weeks there with a few women then come home to NZ full of confidence you can use for dating here. It is a good way for your brain/body to normalise dating/getting laid regularly. This will help you with women in NZ because women seem to have this sixth sense where they prefer a guy who is already getting action and can immediately sense if a guy is getting action. I have heard from a few women that men getting action come across as less desperate so are more attractive.

Some guys get a long distance gf in Asia and then bring her home to NZ. For some guys this works but it has many potential pitfalls and the possibility of going wrong. Therefore, I think it is best to just get shagging/dating practice there and then apply it in NZ.
 
Tried it once. A few of the women I liked weren't interested in me, while there were women who liked me that I wasn't interested in.
It was a fun experience but it was the one and only time I ever did it.
