On another thread there was some off-topic discussion about punters who prefer Asian girls: https://sexforum.co.nz/threads/ichiko.8157/#post-91940
Obviously, there are various reasons why some of us like punting Asians. Maybe it would be good to have a thread about pros, cons, and risks.
To kick off, I guess there's a combination of seeing Asian girls as
attractive
exotic
subservient
caring
inexpensive
....
Obviously some of the assumptions turn out to be way off...
For punters punting in NZ there is also the fact that it reduces the likelihood that the girl will be connected with their circle of friends. This is obviously a consideration for some. It's also a consideration for many girls, who don't work in their home country but travel to a different country (NZ, elsewhere in Asia, elsewhere in the world) to work.
As for pitfalls, @projectouno mentions some issues that only occur if you go beyond punting into relationships.
That's relevant to this thread: https://sexforum.co.nz/threads/i-need-opinions-help.8001/#post-89374
I found Steven Leather's book Private Dancer had quite a lot of useful insights when I read it about 20 years ago. It's set in Bangkok and is written in a multiple-first-person style, so you get the voices of all of the characters: the guy who falls in love with a bar girl, the girl, the drinking mates, the bar owner. Well worth a read.
The author put a draft version on the web, since he was having trouble getting it published. You can read it here, for example:
