I believe the core issue here is consent. What I’m hearing is that there are individuals who feel they are not giving informed consent when it comes to engaging sexually with transgender individuals.
Regardless of the legal status of sex work or who made it legal, consent remains a legal and ethical requirement. I want to be clear that my intention is not to incite hate. However, I do believe that clients have the right to engage in sex work safely and without feeling that their boundaries or consent have been violated.
While I do not condone the derogatory remarks made in this thread, I equally cannot condone deceit or an attitude that suggests such behaviour is acceptable. These practices risk further undermining the professionalism and credibility of an industry that already faces significant challenges in these areas.

I think it’s simpler than that.
What we have is an individual engaging in misrepresentation by omission. While gender provenance doesn’t require disclosure if, for example, you are seeking employment as a check out operator, it is critical information with respect to this industry, and therefore needs to be disclosed.
