Ummm.... am i the only one who wonders why it is so hard to ask the lady herself some questions?

Actually I would say it's a very serious question. I remember turning 30 the issue of settling down and family. That meant, a lady age 45 is never going to bear children. Now that may not be what the OP wants in life but it is a factor, a question you should ask.

A lady at that age, in this profession has got to have some baggage. Couldn't make it out in a normal career. Fleeing from some issues in her native home country abroad? What are her goals?

At least the many young Chinese sex workers i've met, at least tell me they do the sex for the $$. They make enough to bring back to China, and no doubt, they have no plans wanting to stay and live in NZ. It's all about making the good $$$ here.

Yes it may not be common but it is also not as rare as you might think.

It has even turned out to be a successful relationship for some.

I believe you should think long and hard about how you see this progressing.

Can you separate this lady having sex as her job from the intimacy of your relationship.

You need to be completely honest with this as this will destroy a relationship if you have an issue with her working and try to hide it.

I think the age difference is also a consideration but history has shown it is not a problem for the right people.

To the OP I would suggest that this lady has some feelings for you and I know it is difficult for many Asian cultures to speak of such things but I would urge you to consider what you want from this and where you would like to see this progress to.

The ideal outcome is the Lady See's the same or similar. I know there is a risk you do not see the outcome as the same and sometimes this is the barrier to discussing these things but it is better to find out early.

If your head, your heart and your gut are in alignment then you wouldn't be questioning your situation, and you certainly wouldn't be sounding out opinions on an open forum with strangers. My sense is your head AND your gut are telling you some things aren't lining up.

But if you are comfortable with the current arrangements without any expectations from either party then carry on as you are and just accept it as an exciting life experience. However if you have stronger feelings or expectations at some stage you will need to bring these out into the open, otherwise they will eat away at you.
