-pocket a >40% return on investment with a pay back in <3 years,
-escort owned agencies can be ethically run if done well, a happy escort is a happy punter,
-recognize reputational value in repeat business comes from consistent service quality, a win/win for punters & investors
-financial security after hanging up their stilettoes...beats kiwisaver.

From a roster of >35 (as claimed), here's hoping a handful may be savvy enough to step up. Both the Auckland market and SW's themselves would be better served by having more competition in places to punt and work in the quality Agency space.

JLR may not be popular, but it could always be worse...

It doesn’t seem to matter what the thread is in this forum for it to prompt angry rhetoric and personal criticism from commentators. My two pennies worth is that none of the comments have correctly identified the business for sale. Speculation about possible reasons for selling and conjecture about the accuracy of the sale information is also likely to be poorly informed and wide of the mark! It’s entirely possible that I am wrong about the identity aspect but it looks like a case of leaping to conclusions to me.

I agree with you that banks would not be an option, leaving cash buyers or vendor finance. If only it was that easy a business case, anyone could do it.

As I believe I’ve been referenced here, I’d add another two cents, even though I apparently have little sense of my own.

Firstly, my info is that JLR is likely selling for personal (family) reasons and a desire to get back into politics. (That would be interesting – a pimp Prime Minister – but aren’t they all?).

Also, a few years ago, my business partner/lover/smartest person I know presented me with her proposal to get into and dominate the sexy industry. I have little doubt that with her ruthlessness, she would have succeeded and upset a lot of people. However, the upsetting of people was something we couldn’t account for, as we had no way of assessing the level, if any, of organised crime quietly backing the industry. Not our cup of tea, because… we’re pussies.

And of course, there was one other major drawback: why would I want to be involved in creating the best sexy venue in town if I would (because I am a notoriously ethical and upstanding person) be unable to frequent the place… or anywhere else for that matter if we’re succeeding in shaking up the industry.

So not me, I only play with pocket aces.
