Looks like I'm not the only one here who has some degree of familiarity with the Bible. 
My interest in old documents is professional and personal, and I'd rather see their contents accurately referred to, whatever people think of them. That's all I'm doing here.
However, I'd be happy to discuss the interpretations offered jokingly here if anyone is really interested.

You'd need the original texts to be able to know whether they've been accurately referred to. Not the dodgy English translations we have! Unfortunately, there are none.
But oh boy, yeah, let's not go there!Yes, you're right. Fair enough. English translations from about the last 80 years are probably better though, as a result of mid-20th century discoveries of manuscripts which date from closer to the time.
I think the oldest New Testament manuscripts date from the end of the first century or early second, but that's just mere fragments not whole documents. And in Greek (I think), not Aramaic or Hebrew.
Anyway ... I don't wish to bore/bother anyone here with this sort of discussion. And I'm no expert, of course, just a layperson with some interest.
It does amaze me that people join a forum reviewing hookers then get all bent out of shape about graphic reviews to the point where they bother to expend energy bursting into satirarical prose. Id say go read a book but is probably more appropriate to say go fuck a hooker and write us a review. If you dont like someones writing to the point where you feel the urge to mount a white stallion use the fucking mute button.

I wonder why? I wrote this because it amazed me how someone could expend energy bursting into satirical prose about people NOT doing graphic reviews and accusing them of being simps because they chose to do shorter less detailed reviews.
It was done for a laugh more than anything.
This is simply a response to that one. Maybe you missed it? It seems to have been forgotten for some reason.
So why don't you get back on your high horse, Gordo and ride off? Take your own advice.
