Imagine the best agency's or the highest rated girls from here had after pay.... how often would you visit them if this was the case. I guess this is only appealing to those of us that cant afford the finer things in life... lmao. Just a thought. Would love to hear opinions

I have used a credit card but if it ever got to that stage I’d like to think it would be a trigger to stop for a bit. It would also probably make the booking weird I feel in my opinion. I don’t think anyone should after pay a booking.

As is the case with using Afterpay with Doordash, if you're needing to use Afterpay to pay for a massage/escort you realistically have bigger financial problems and priorities to be dealing with. Buy now pay later schemes while convenient and with their merits, ultimately are a trap.

Afterpay is only good for a situation where your dishwasher broke and you need a new one asap, or a car repair, or any emergency.

I hate using it for any sort of pleasure, wether thats SW, hobbies, food, alcohol etc

I use after pay for alot of stuff. Just to spread the damage out over the period. Only ever a few hundered at a time. I think to say there's serious issues is a lil harsh. Lots of people cant afford 300 at a time for lots of stuff let alone working girls. I dont see this as a necessary thing just fun or like a hobbie. And the fact there's no interest on it like there would be on a credit card I feel like makes it more convenient atleast for me. I dont know was really just a thought and I really do appreciate the opinions.

As a fellow man, if you have to use credit/after-pay/personal loan for escorting then I would strongly encourage you to take a step back, and re-evaluate your life's priorities. Maybe focus more time/energy on how to become someone that doesn't need to resort to that. Then perhaps the luxuries in life might just feel a little bit better without that guilt/remorse.

Speaking from experience, it always starts off small ($50, couple of hundreds) and before you know it, it becomes an addiction and you're in full-blown debt.
All the best.

You need discipline to ensure you stay within your own limits - the problem though, as others in this thread have pointed out, it's a very slippery slope. If you're accountable to yourself to avoid getting into bad habits or falling into the trap of debt, great. This isn't the reality for many using these predatory services who end up stuck in a rut. If I'm having to spread out the cost of seeing a SWer to make room for my other finances then imo I've got my priorities wrong. I earn a comfortable enough salary, but I'm not balling by any means - SM/escorts are like a novelty treat for me. I see the benefits of Afterpay, I just think it'd lead to bad situations for a lot of people who have more addictive tendencies.

Ok yes I understand this. I dont have to use it. It was just I thought I had. I can build it up and spend it like I guess most of us do yeah. My original thinking was like back when I was a kid my mum showed me layby. And then I laybuyed books toys games all sorts. I looked at the afterpay thing as something similar except you get the thing now rather than wait for it. I do see where this is coming from. Im definitly not balling. But I am living comfortably.

I've never been in your situation but if I were you, rather than getting into hire purchase type stuff, I'd just save what I can afford until I have enough to spend it on punting before I make a booking. That way you'll never be caught out when shit hits the fan. Meanwhile, figure out how to increase your income so you're not having to think about stuff like afterpay. Easier said than done, I know, but punting is an expensive hobby.

Yeah ok after reading some horror story's linked by grok im about to pull the plug on this conversation and the whole after pay thing. Just want to thank everyone who has commented here. I dont have an issue with money. But I can see where afterpay takes advantage of dumb asses like me to turn profits. Even if its all paid for its like that whole gambling thing. Anyways again thanks to the people here for opening my eyes to my ignorance. Cheers lads

I do think that pre-ordering items on Afterpay should be okay because if once you finish all payments, you still need to wait for the item to arrive rather than continuing to pay for stuff after its already in your hands.

This is _exactly_ the wrong opinion.

Yes- AfterPay is predatory. Yes- if you are using AfterPay as one of their intended customers, you should stop right now.

But if you're not one of their intended customers, and you're dealing with a retailer like Briscoes or Chemist Warehouse for example (as opposed to say, PB Tech) where any AP charge to the reatiler is baked into the price, you ABSOLUTELY MUST use it, because their entire business model is built around people missing payments. Yes, they get a bit of skim from retailers, but if all of us that will not miss payments or be duped into spending on something we wouldn't have with cash simply use AP and make them pay for those three extra credit card payments and the additional cost of their borrowing, they will lose money just like their competitor Klarna does in the US.

Fuck AfterPay, make the rubble bounce.
EDIT: Oh, also ZIP- same nasty business model. It's good to spread money between them if possible. That way when one of the two changes their privacy policy you can threaten to take them to the Privacy Commissioner if they don't delete your account and cancel any remaining payments and get them to write the money off if you're aggressive enough.
