I probably could, but it would make me a bit of a target... although Tesla’s Sentry Mode would capture anybody keying it. And on the plus side, I might get to see what Cyril Figgis looks like.
Full self-Driving – AI magic. I can leave my home in Lake Las Vegas, drive the 45 minutes to the Strip and park at the ARIA without once touching the steering wheel. I can almost do the same around Auckland.
Giving up a Tesla for any other car is like trading in your smartphone for a flip phone.

I had a read through AF's thread, it's a free market and they still have their heads buried in the sand claiming that they will continue to regulate and censor the way reviews are written all the while one member keeps popping up advocating for more site moderators and policemen hiding behind bushes to smack anyone who posts anything that doesn't line up with his personal views, don't they get it that no one posts much on there let alone reviews, it'll be a pretty boring and lonely moderators job. The other people posting on there can't speak high enough about how free speech on the other forums has its own n atural balance and works so well. It's their loss, AF created their own rod for their back so they can wear it

But this thread is actually about celebrating an esteemed ex-member who's taken a real risk and launched his own venture. JP deserves our respect and proper discussion here.
Let's dial back the spotlight on yourself, rein in the ego a bit and keep the focus where it belongs. The thread's starting to feel off-track, and it'd be great to lift it back up to what it's meant to be about

Which side of the coin are you on. Selling calls or puts? What's the underlying asset?
As for cars, EVs are great but they lack the sound of an exotic sports car, a key reason why the rich don't care for EVs.

And as one of you big lugs so politely inquired about my trading positions, I’ll share - I currently have four leveraged long positions in: Gold, AUD/USD, Japan 225, UK 100. They’ve opened mixed this morning, so they may need some attention. How much am I up so far, I hear you ask? Enough that you pranksters would be able to indulge in your bait-and-switch hobby for many a year.
So, how was your weekend? I spent a lovely, sexy hour at Perfect Touch with beautiful Vera – thoroughly recommend. Played a bit of poker, card-dead, so lost a bit, but it happens. But it’s always fun to be surrounded by beautiful people, fellow travellers in life who are giving life a go and have given up the wage-slave life.
Please share how your wonderful weekends went… perhaps when you come home for that job thing that people keep telling me about.

My weekend, fantastic, family dinner Friday, day on the lake Saturday, spent the night with a lovely woman Im seeing, Sunday we walked around ayrburn and looked at some fantastic vehicles (no Teslas...), followed by late lunch, thanks for asking.

I rarely leverage long because living in NZ the time zone to NY EST is a huge problem (well at least for me waking up at 3:30 AM and ending at 10AM is not for me). The currency markets are a bit more open in trading hours but I find assets like currencies and precious metals too slow for my liking; too low beta. The main action is in the equities of a particular stock.
For the past few years i've focused mainly on selling OTM options particularly the Wheel Strategy on a weekly basis. So selling naked puts when you want to buy the stock, if by chance you get assigned to buy the stock, then you switch selling covered calls. If it gets sold, then you repeat back to selling nake puts (hence the Wheel strategy). IRD loves me A LOT because of my tax bill !! as I aim for 40% return per year on the amount of capital invested. All that matters is time by counting down the DTE. While those that bought the options long, well on most part those contracts will expire worthless. Potentially, there is more $ made by going long but under a Trump like world and how fast information spreads, you can never close the position quick enough with Trump does a TACO.

I’m impressed, you seem to have a strategy that makes sense (a little complicated for me), and if you have the confidence/character/balls to execute (especially after a few inevitable losses) and you make a profit, you are in the 1-5% winners in this game. So, well done!
After decades of trading futures for myself and others, I now trade CFDs, which offer up to 100:1 leverage (only in NZ, btw). My “system” is so unbelievably simple that I would be embarrassed to disclose it. But it is very effective, embarrassingly so, as I showed on here last year when I posted a screenshot of my account to jealous derision.
I’ll give you one piece of advice. Think big, don’t let losers and those too cowardly to claim their own slice of the pie bring you down. Admittedly, I enjoy a bit of trolling for sport; to flush out the cockroaches, and this trait helps me at the poker table. But in life, if you want to get on, find someone better than you at whatever you want to improve on… and then ask them (nicely) how they do it… and people will tell you! I’ve done this my whole life, but almost no one does it!
A word of warning. When you become successful (rich), the mediocre will hate you for it... But luckily, like me, you will no longer give a fuck.
