So hopefully got the right generation.
Last few weeks made a booking at a very reputable agency. Done almost a week in advance. Cancelled the night before.
So made a booking at another reputable agency 3-4 days in advance. Cancelled on the day. So made a follow up booking for next shift. Over a week away. Cancelled on the day. All euro females advertising as early twenties. Is it the work ethic plus too much partying the night before?
What is also annoying is driving into town and paying for a park at exorbitant council parks.
To make it more frustrating saw a ASW in between and that was also disappointing.
It’s enough to make you think I’ll just keep my cash and bank manager happy.
Sorry for the rant.
 
this is definitely a first world problem ahahaha but in all seriousness i feel your pain, been to Auckland in a business trip with times schedule to the dot, managed to fit a punt in between, book in a few days in advanced and had it canceled once and asked to change the time another time..... ended up having a wank and looking at a pile of cash
 
Imagine you look forward to a reward you planned for yourself only to be cancelled hours before. Sometimes I follow up with a text a day prior to be sure or simply just got a booking on the day!

I think you’re referring to Gen Z, Gen X is actually the generation BETWEEN Baby Boomers and Millennials (between 1965-1980).
Unless you’re into much older women, in which case whatever floats your boat my guy.

But to actually acknowledge your question/whinge, honestly I’d say it’s entirely on a case by case basis. Some people are just flakey, some of them grow out of it with age whilst others just remain flakey or unpunctual their whole lives. For instance when I was younger I had the tendency to be flakey and often not punctual, these days I never outright flake on a work shift however It’s still common for me to be late to a lot of my work shifts (mind you, all things considered it’s not too bad as I usually will be late by somewhere around 5 mins - 30 mins max).

I know many workers who’re similar age to myself or younger (for context I would be classed as a Gen Z technically but I’m more on the cusp of Gen Z and Millennial, for anyone familiar with the “micro generation” term “Zillennial”) who’re very punctual and seldom miss a shift that they’d previously committed to working a week in advance.

I also know many workers of varying age range who’re known for being chronically flakey and often won’t show up on the day for a shift that they’d previously committed to working. Generally for these workers who’re known to be less reliable what ends up happening after a while is most agencies attempt to discuss the issue one on one with the individual worker and if after some time there is no improvement they will either decide to politely cut ties and suggest that worker seek out another agency to work at. OR alternatively they will just stop advertising there ad online in advance and or listing them on there rosters in advance, instead sticking to just advertising there availability literally when they’re physically there on the day.
 
I am Gen X and in the past 12 months I have been seeing SWers who are almost exclusively Gen Z.
To this point I have found them to be absolutely fantastic, wherever they hail from, touring or local.
They see SW as a job like any other, and can be refreshingly open and honest. Those I have seen take the approach that sex is to be enjoyed and not taboo, and that being the case why not earn good money while doing it - moreso given the shitty state we seem to have left the economy in.
The people I see are intelligent with clear ideas of how long they'll be in the industry, they are warm, good business people, and comfortable seeing and engaging genuinely with a range of different clients.
Perhaps I've just been lucky ... mind you I tend to see independents and privateers not those via an agency. Maybe the common denominator is ... agencies.

Note: for me Gen Z is those born mid to late 90s so mid to late 20s not early twenties.

Gen Z is defined as anyone born between 1997 and 2012 (so current age now is anywhere between 13 years and 28 years old), whereas Millennials are defined as anyone born between 1981 and 1996 (putting them anywhere between 29 too 44 years). If you wanna get super specific there are also “micro generations” as well but honestly I digress.

Respectfully I could care less what the definition is for you, if the person that coined these concepts or simply just people as a collective came together and clearly defined the specific definition of these phrases then in my mind that would immediately render anyone else’s incorrect definition irrelevant.
 
I'm the opposite... I usually ask the girls if they are free, right now! when I happen to be in the neighborhood.

If I don't get a text back in the next ~10minutes, off I go to the next order of business for my day.

this is just the reality of my busy schedule though. I squeeze punts in between my life commitments, I don't plan my day/week around punts.
 
I'm not sure its a generational thing. I find you have much better success booking on the day, hit them up in the morning as soon as the agency opens or their working hours start. Maybe the day before. Unless of course it's a it's a big booking like an overnight or something. It also helps to have a backup planned. Working girls have lives too and it can be any number of things to cause them to cancel.

Also the younger 20 somethings are more likely to cancel than the older ones because they get no shortage of bookings. Some of the older ones probably sit around all day next to their phone desperately hoping they get a single booking for the day lol

This has been my recent experience too. I am intrigued at the amount of young women i meet now who seem to have their lives completely in order taking up sex work professionally and treating it as a job rather than as a last resort. They have less stigma around it than people who grew up pre decriminalisation. Whereas when I first started punting i found more of the old stereotype of the messed up or rough woman doing sex work.

Part of this observation could be I tend to visit better establishments than i did 16 years ago but i think there has been a positive generational shift in attitudes to sex work also.
