Unfortunately it's a very difficult position for you to be in.
Definitely "Start a new conversation" with Georgia because she will give you much better advice than any male here can. Click on the envelope icon in the top right hand corner of this page. [ It is this forum's version of private/direct messaging. ]
With mental health issues I suspect that going totally independent would be very isolating for you, particularly if you are not receiving regular counselling or therapy or have a very good friend or family member (who knows about your work) to support you. It would also require you to receive and handle enquiries yourself and, from the stories told by girls here, that is a lot of work and guys endlessly try to take advantage--that might be very draining and demoralizing for you.
A shared working space like The Apartment might be better but since you say you have trouble connecting with other girls that might still be a problem, particularly as there are a lot of girls there.
My best suggestion would be to try to find a small group of girls sharing a place, perhaps even out of Auckland if you are able to relocate, so that you have less people to spread your energy across. That might allow you to balance your relationships with them more effectively. I'm sure the support of even just one or two fellow workers would help you tremendously.
[Of course a supportive employer would be the best possible solution but I'm afraid, as you and Georgia and others have said, that they are far between. If you are able to relocate, girls at iEscape and Pillow Talk in Wellington always speak highly of their management.]
Best of luck.
