Lmao I call my clients “dude” or “man” all the time, although I only call them “mate” when I’m being sarcastic. Bro however has never been a word I’ve used.
Funnily enough I’m more prone to calling my casual terms like “man” or “dude” simply just because it’s a ******* response for me that I often don’t think overly much about before saying it.
Terms like “hun” though, I’ve never used towards my clients when doing sex work. I am however guilty of calling customers at my day job (non sex work job) “hun” all the time, essentially whenever I go into “hyper customer service” mode that’s when I’ll likely call people “hun” simply as a way to be polite or friendly towards them.
Terms like “babe”, “darling”, “love”, “lovely” or “dear”, I just personally hate the sound of them so I never say them. To me they sound overly flirty and more like what you’d say to your partner (personally I wouldn’t even say them to my partner because It’d cause me to cringe too much but you get what I mean).

If a male you don't know helps you with something - door, taxi driver with bags or whatever, you can say thanks mate, thanks man, thanks almost anything. No problem.
What is socially acceptable these days if its a female? Thanks on its own seems slightly short.

Oh god, that reminds me. A while back now, at Pinky’s. I remember there was a girl there at the time who would call out “Oh Husband, my husband…” repeatedly multiple times while she was fucking the guy. And because the walls were always thinner then paper there, I heard this everytime and would be fighting for my life in fits of laughter in the next room…

There was also another girl that whenever she’d greet ANYONE (English speakers) she’d always say “hello baby! I love you!”, literally everytime without fail… Even the non Asian girls, whenever she’d greet them she’d also say “Hello baby, I love you!”….
