Idea ,

can we make new members limited to one post per day for 10 days. Reasonable way to weed out the spammers . With one post a day they will have to do some work before they launch there spammerthons . If they join and spam can quickly be removed before breaking the chain of interesting threads

You pick a spammer as soon as they start spamming that's not the point . The point is if they join they can only do one spam on that day then be removed . 10 days isn't harsh at all have to post reasonable stuff for 10 days before they go nuts .

Should of clarified after 10 days of posts then it's a free for all to stop sleeper cells joining then spamming 10 days later.
