This is such an interesting thread to read.
I’m a reiki practitioner, so I also believe in connected souls. But I believe it happens with each connection during the day, be it sexual or not. Although I would also agree that the sexual aspect does require a bigger, more emotional piece the. Your casual daily encounter. It’s is so important to be taking care of ourselves spiritually too. Every evening I do some cord cutting and meditation before bedtime.
It also saddens me that there’s woman who do this and are just disassociating the whole time. When you’re mentally hitting an overload like that, it’s time to take a short break and rest.
I also couldn’t imagine sitting on my phone during a session. All other things aside, that just seems like terrible manners.
How are you meant to create a safe and opening space, when you’re not even engaging 100% with the other human in the room with you. That must create such a huge disconnect in the room.
I will also say, thank you to the men who are honest but still kind with their words. I’ve gotten the chance to see the other side of punting, and it has really given me plenty to think about and assess.
So, much love xoxo
