Can admin at least block the non English spam? If they can block certain words then surely foreign languages ie choose a few keywords like , sex, escorts etc.

Definitely would be great to see some anti spam detection, if anything just whatever language the recent spam bots have been in being added to auto block could help, this is a sex forum based in nz after all so english is pretty much expected

Translation

"You kiwi scum bums , even your birds can't fly , our escorts are far superior . Once we have Ukraine our Supreme Leader the Posioned Dwarf will send our invincible army to your shores . Your 303s are no match for our mighty T34s ...... blah blah blah "

Very simple to fix only allow new members 1 post per day for 1 week , most won't have the patience to do 7 genuine posts before they launch a Spam attack .

Great news everyone! We’ve implemented new systems to help stop the ridiculously annoying spam on the forum, and if all goes well, no more spams! I know this has been an issue for the longest time, so we’re really hoping this fix makes a difference.

We’re still testing things for now, but if any do slip through, we’ll make sure to implement an even better solution. Thank you :)

@SexForum is the CAPTCHA on the registration page new? I don't think CAPTCHA is good enough these days. The bots are getting too smart for that.

You could try 2FA (with only NZ numbers accepted) but I don't know if users would be happy providing their mobile number.

Posting limits for new accounts might be the best option. Or at least block messages that contain only a link and nothing else. Whatever you do they'll work around it though. It's a fucking arms race.

Or could you automatically lock the account from posting further messages (pending admin review) if say 3 or more users report them as spammers?

Not sure what's possible. Is SexForum a bespoke platform or just an off-the-shelf product with limited customisation options?

Honestly post limits for new members is the best option & easiest to implement id hope out of the two recommendations

2FA will just deter everyone from here, even if its just one time verification im sure theres some who wont even want to bother doing that & could just lead to the sites slow burn
