Hey everyone,

So feel like I have been unluggy uce with a tinder fling. Think I have caught something. I have done tests but everything comes back negative. My question is, is there a place in Auckland that does anonymous testing where they don't upload your results to your medical record? I've done the self-tests and negative but they don't do the full panel of all tests so I just want to double check.

Hey mate. I couple of weeks ago I did a test with these guys:

I think they have other locations as well and I think you need to make a booking online.
All my results came negative and I got the notifications by text. Although the blood test was done in a blood lab (Awanui labs), I can't see these results in manage my health at least. No idea if my GP has them though.
Hope that helps.

You can find a few GP Practices in Auckland who accept walk-ups where you just wait and pay as a casual patient (circa $130).

Tell them a partner had tested positive hence coming in for the full check, and the earliest appointment you could get with your usual GP is > a week. On that they prescribed Doxy while waiting on results just in case. Having a course of antibiotics on hand for the next scare doesn't hurt.

You can request they do not forward results to your enrolled GP, the results/blood work are sent back to the clinic. One occasion I did forget to ask and a copy ended up with my GP. Its never been brought up by them.

They only contact you if tests show something and they say no news is good news. But anxiety is a bitch so follow up with the clinic anyway after a few days.

Concerns about your general Doc breaching confidentially is likely overcooked as they do take it seriously. But if its something serious and notifiable they do have tracing (anonymous) guidelines to follow.

Good luck.

Not sure taking antibiotics just in case is a good idea. Before my test I had a reason to suspect something (luckily it was a false alarm), I made the booking at 11ish pm for 9 am next morning. Could've been lucky that day, I don't know what is the usual waiting time. I paid $30 only for urine, blood, throat and tool swabs.
Didn't ask them not to send results anywhere, but I reckon my GP, wouldn't casually ask my wife, how my gonorrhea treatment is going :)
