Not saying you're doing it wrong, as there is no right way.
I was just musing that I don't understand the worry of momentarily encountering another person in the building, despite understanding a preferrence for discretion.

While you have valid points here it is not as simple as " we are there for the same reason". There are many layers to this , for example one may be married while there other is not, or one is the other persons boss at work, one knows the others partner or wife.....that then makes bumping into someone very awkward and there is a power imbalance from having this secret.
For me the more descretion and privacy the better.

As I said to someone else here, 'there is no right way to do this'.
And I do get the desire for descretion and privacy ... that is why all these establishments, and indie workers have sytems in place to not have clients momentarily meeting.
But that it only as far as practicable, and does fail at times.
And it is more those occasional failures that I don't really see as a drama, as the situations that you pointed out would be extreme edge cases.
That said, last time I had a booking with a lady that I have seen many times she did say that I might be a bit of an exhibitionist.
She might be right, and that's why I don't see a problem.
