How many of you have ever picked up a hooker the old-fashioned way. A random one off the side of the street?

Anyone with any stories?

I've only ever done it once... about 20 years ago. I picked up a hooker on K Rd in Auckland. It was K Rd, right? Had to try it out once! I took her back to my hotel room. She was lovely and I had a great time with her.

She told me to always keep my car door locked if looking for action on K Road. Apparently, some women, particularly trans men or cross dressers would hop into your car and remain in there until you paid them money. She also said some women, if you take them to your hotel room will threaten to scream rape if you don't pay them more money. She said I was a nice guy and could be taken advantage of like that. She advised me not to pick up women on K Road again but to go to an agency instead

Does K Road still have hookers on it these days?

Many years ago I picked up a girl on 'the street' and asked if she had a room to go to as I didn't like doing it in the car. She said yes but had to be paid first. Ok (yes I was stupid) and handed over the money. We drove to where she said and she said she would need to get the dog out of the front yard. I was to wait as the dog would go mad at me and wake the neighbors. I was not happy but after some reassuring she went up this long drive (yes I was stupid) After waiting a long time I ventured up the driveway to find it wasn't so much a driveway but an alleyway. She was txting as we drove so I'm guessing she arranged boyfriend waiting at the other end of driveway.

I've had much better experiences as well. I did it for a few years. A couple became long time regulars, but that was a long time ago. I don't cruise the street anymore.
 
One time I was walking home from a gig on K road and a lady of the night came up and asked if I wanted some head, but the weather was shit and she was shivering so I just told her to come with me and I'd pay her rate to hang out instead. Gave her a couple hundy, and we just drove around for a while with the heater on, went through the Macd's drive-through, then parked up by the domain and talked about our lives. We're still good friends over a decade later and have helped each other through rough times. Never got that head, but I reckon I got my money's worth.
 
I was a K Rd regular, mostly HJ's and BJ's. Once a week for ten years then sporadically after that, but had some great times and some bad experiences. Got ripped off early on but as I became street smart things only got better. I had a few regulars. Great story! Good to know there are people like you around. This is one of the things I love about punting and that's the feeling that I'm helping these girls out in some way. Hopefully it's to finance their studies, give them a roof over their heads, pay for overseas travel or something else worthwhile.

This actually reminded me of a woman I picked up hitch hiking once. Well it turned out not to be a woman but a tranny. As I was driving her to town she told me she'd been in another city selling herself. She then said she was thankful I picked her up and she'd give me a free blow job. There weren’t many options back in the day to access indie SWs. Adverts in The Truth (of which there were pages and pages) or NZ Herald classifieds. K Rd, City Rd, Papatoetoe or Manurewa main streets. Later backpages online was great. But we are in the good old days now I reckon (or maybe, just before COVID was the sweet spot)
