I think a court would find that the employment relationship was such that duress was implicit (and consent vitiated). Placing the evidential burden on him to prove that consent was freely given.

I beg to differ. They're there because of need. It's an occupation that society looks down upon. Most dare not tell their families and when the families find out trouble ensues. There is at least one woman at EG who hasnt' spoken to her family in over 10 years. In effect they've disowned her.
Fair enough - our industry experiences may differ considerably - the industry is a broad church.
