Assuming he isn’t a Chinese woman,

Lee Nelson is retired and was born in the US. Also a former Doctor. Not Daok.

Thomas Ward and Hamish Crawshaw are too young.

Jan Suchanek is dead.

The rest have not made over 1mil.

Hence Daok is a liar and there should be nothing stopping him from posting his insta or any other poker related pages on here. After all, it doesn’t actually prove it is him anyway unless he posts something outing himself as Daok on his poker social media page.

If you started with nothing like he said and by the time you brought a house . 2 million wouldn't be enough to live a lavish lifestyle

To be fair, this is just comp winnings. Shows nothing of private games.

As someone involved in the industry - the hedge fund story seems hard to square away but maybe (anyone can buy OTC CFDs etc).... As they say "every asshole in a bathrobe with a bloomberg terminal is a hedge fund guy these days..." Look at Roaring Kitty... (yoloing $30k to $50m).

A quick google search will show that the NZ media will write up about any Kiwi chump who got lucky and won few hundred grand at poker tournaments.

If a Kiwi like Daok was winning so much that 7 figures is nothing to him and owns half dozen houses all over the world AND made a successful second career as a hedge fund manager, absolute guarantee there would be articles on him. There is not even a high rolling Kiwi player that fits his age range.

I also doubted him at first.. Did the same google search as you. But thats just pro circuit players, he could be a rich guy that plays private high stakes games. But it seems his wealth is verified by some members from his AF days. Apparently he used to throw lavish parties.
Maybe @NatashaPetrova can verify for you. No details, just a is he rich yes/no.
Personally i think he is a wealthy old man that uses his money to play games with WGs and sell them a dream

There is a tonne of money in exclusive private cash games. I doubt that there are many high roller cash players in NZ but a dime a dozen in Asia and the US.

I play private cash games mostly in America. However, I am currently at the WSOP, which is a series of tournaments. Lists such as those above are meaningless as they only show winnings from tournaments but don't take into account the cost of the buy-ins. Most probably, most on that list are unprofitable. But nice try, but do you have the $10,000? Last week, I made $116,000 in the markets (a poor show, but I'm otherwise engaged), so we can make it $10,000 to that if it sweetens the deal a bit.

Etrade lol. Nothing will ever silence doubters, nor do I give a fuck. At the risk of doxxing myself, here is one of my accounts (don't ask me the brokerage). It is a highly leveraged type of trading, therefore not for the faint-hearted. I reset the account to $100,000 on April 1st, or when the account reaches $10,100,000. I generally then invest this in property (or Elon Musk stuff),

This is becoming a bit ridiculous, having a thread whose purpose seems to be to doxx me. Although, to be fair, I do bring it on myself. Let me explain how the poker world works to provide some context.

Some people play to make money, others to gain fame or whatever. The show-off people enter tournaments. And they are fun, but a fool’s errand IMO. For example, one of the greatest players ever Daniel Negreanu (and neighbour and friend of mine) does a daily vlog on YouTube during the WSOP. (Look back a few years and you’ll see me at one of his parties with my lady friend). He has made millions in the past in cash games but now lives off sponsorship, which means he needs publicity.

Last year, Daniel made around $2,000,000 in tournament winnings, so on paper, he appears to be a winner. But his buy-ins (the cost of entering) would be around $4,000,000. Therefore, he lost something like $2,000,000. In 2023, he had a net loss of 2.2 million. And he’s one of the best ever! So, I can pretty much guarantee that all those on the so-called “New Zealand all-time Money list” are big-time net losers.

People like me, on the other hand, are private cash game players. I’m not the best player in the world, but I make sure I play against players who are not as good as me but have lots of money they can afford to lose. Many of these are celebrities, businesspeople and somewhat shady people. This is the world I inhabit, because I give good action and my strange kiwi-hippy-street persona intrigues people (unlike, apparently, on here).

The downside of these sorts of friends is that they never let up. Even though I’m a pretty average golfer (18 handicap), I was invited to play a round yesterday with my poker friends. All fun and good, until I was told on the first tee that we were playing $20,000 per hole. Great! Shank!

“go sub to poker sites, my face is all over it, i’m the graying guy”

“i have hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, im easy to find”

WTF STOP TRYING TO DOX ME !!!

😂😂😂

To everyone saying he made his money on private circuits hence not coming up online, he specifically said his face is plastered all over WSOP websites.

Well here’s the channel DAOK, along with many other videos on youtube, point to one video where you feature. Don’t have to say who you are at the table.

It always amazes me how people miss opportunities in life because they need to be a snartarse. The poker thing is difficult and takes a lifetime to master. But trading is simple. You could have asked me how I do it and changed your life - instead...
