Really need to offload something on this thread and I've been tossing this one up since it appeared. Time to chime in.
Your comment of 'you think sex work is valid but you hate the fact that it exists'.
Like Elodie previously mentioned you may want to get out for a bit and do something else...anything else. It may not earn you 200-500 approx an hour but at least you won't be throwing your mental health in the bin. You either want to be a sex worker or you don't....or at least don't mind too much either way. Grey areas exist, oh yes.
Your slight rage post about punters not being good looking enough to get laid any other way? Yes you walked it back later as a rage piece, but the fact that you went there so easily makes me think you 90% believe it.
All I can say is I've always utterly rejected any incel-like mentality (sadly you will see it pop up here - 'involuntarily celibate'? Really guys!? Did we peak in the 90s!?). It's my belief that MOST PEOPLE can get laid if they have the right mindset. Even Stephen Hawking managed it and he could only twitch a finger! Clean yourself up, dress better, brush your teeth, don't be 2nd or 3rd rate human and you'll do fine. If not open your damn wallet.
With respect to your point of view, there is a solid reason why I myself see sex workers and don't stalk the dating apps or elsewhere... others will differ. It was simply part of the relationship agreement I have with my spouse after life ate away at her libido bit by bit until it was gone, while mine only increased as I got older.
After many conversations and counselling sessions, antidepressants and mental health struggles where it was firmly established her vanished libido had nothing to do with me, we both arrived at the current solution. One where I don't have to sell the house, abandon my life partner and best friend, or cheat over on bumble or tinder over something as stupidly fleeting as sex. Therefore, I have three somewhat hard choices: Sex workers, celibacy or divorce.
After your rage comment am I a little triggered? Yeah probably only because its an argument that's raged in my head for years. I'm wondering...maybe I am horribly ugly, and my breath stinks and I couldn't get laid in a morgue? Are the incels right? Nope... I refuse to believe it. The high road with this one is still one I choose to take.
If you look at my previous posts, yeah I do have a somewhat black sense of humour. It's probably the raging adult ADHD I'm currently paying through the nose to get diagnosed at the ripe age of 51. I do try and not get caught up in appearances and I always treat any women I pay for sex with the utmost respect. There are layers in the onion. Layers and layers and lots of tears. My point is no one has a total monopoly on suffering.

Nicely written, dude. It must have taken a few drafts if your ADHD comes with difficulty regulating emotions. I get the feeling that it's over-represented in SW also, for various reasons.
