Bahahaha! That reminds me of a couple weeks back when the boss at my agency was taking an eftpos transaction from one of my customers, when the guy handed the machine back to him and he saw the transaction was accepted his immediate response was “thank you darling”, I couldn’t stop myself from audibly laughing hysterically in front of the both of them in that moment. It was the last thing I expected him to say in that moment right to the customers face tbh, since then I haven’t heard him saying anything like that to any of my customers though (now he just says “ok, thank you” or “thank you, my friend”, something like this) lmao
What would you rather be called then? I am guilty of using the word "lovely and darling" way too often

I just wanted to see lots of different perspectives.
Maybe the word itself isn't important? When there's a connection, terms of endearment seem nātural. Maybe I hear "hun" when there's no history. Is it fake when used too readily? I'd like to hear about the intention or perception when it's used.
