In the spirit of free speech, Im going to share the email that many of us received today from NZG. I don't see that its sharing anything that you lot wont be finding out in the next few days anyway.
The many providers I have spoken to today already are less than happy about this, some VERY upset given how hard things are out there atm for us as it is. We were not consulted about this, and many feel that all it's going to do, is push punters to the sites that it's cheaper for us to advertise on anyway, where you can get our contact dets for free.
It simply feels like yet another money generating scheme for them, and not anything thats going to actually help us. It seems the suggestions that we do make about how to improve the function of the site for us fall on deaf ears anyway.

I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know about a new system update that will be coming on the 2nd of March 2026, for a trial period of 4- 6 weeks in Wellington and Christchurch.
This update is based on feedback we have received by you (the advertisers) etc. The consistent complaints of time wasters, no shows, rude messages and so forth, (as I'm sure you are aware).
Essentially the punters on the site will still be able to scroll for free, but when it comes to accessing numbers, they will be charged a small fee, that then gives them access to all numbers for 28 days - this will also give them access to our Members Lounge.
The purpose of this update, is fewer timewasters, less mental drain and more serious clients for you, the advertisers (you are our priority).
Your advertising will not change. Your profile, pricing and how you advertise, remains the same - no change. The only thing that will change is who can get through to you.
