If the evidence you have is anecdotal it is pretty hard to make a convincing argument about it being broken. It could be another 'urban myth'. Not saying it is, or it isn't, but in the absence of verifiable facts we could go around and around on this with no end in sight. So we can retire to our respective corners.

Yeah we can agree on something here @ElodieEvans.

Maybe we can call out overtly bad statements on here, but the thing is I have seen the shit slinging, name calling and insults that can quickly happen on this site. Some seem to thrive on mud slinging and putting people into camps and labelling them. I would prefer to NOT get sucked into the lose lose and waste of energy with another faceless keyboard warrior.

So even better than joust with someone on a keyboard take control of our own behaviour and attitudes and model those in our real life actions and attitudes, in this case with the sex workers we come into contact with.

Apologies, it was not my intention to make you feel singled out and as another SW said it came from a good place. I am confident she had some security measures in place, what they were I am unsure. However, as I outlined there are always people who are able to manipulate situations to get pass security measures and anyone is capable of attempting to blackmail SW with bad reviews. By suggesting added security measures etc, we are shifting the responsibility or the blame to the worker, rather than the offender. I still stand by verified reviewers, it would make a more reliable review site (potentially stopping fake reviews), maintain safety and can also maintain discretion. Verification could be via the punters booking number or similar, since burner phones seem to be widely used.

Communication is powerful, it can be used for good and it can be used for negative. We have the choice to conform, stay silent but we also have the choice to challenge negative attitudes and thought patterns, to plant seeds of differing perspectives. 'Group Think' - its an interesting concept, if we apply this to the people who sat in the Mama Hooch whatsapp group, NRL player sex scandal (early 2000s i think), child homicide and abuse cases like Nia Glassie,... these are extreme examples but could have been stopped long before it got to multiple victims, death, careers ruined from peer pressure etc.

I think verified reviewers would probably nuke the activity and reviews on the site. Unless its a scenario where anyone can review but certain punters are verified and have more credibility because of it. It's already the de facto situation as people are generally skeptical of new members that post either glowing or strongly negative reviews.

Is there a reason for why SWs don't implement reference requirements in NZ? It's fairly common overseas and I personally have no issue with booking a SW that requires one. I've actually had it happen to me in NZ before where a international escort wanted a reference from a local SW.
